When the plant kingdom goes dormant and underground, I feel it's natural to feel a sense of loss. Asian medicine says our lungs are affected at this time of year, leading to a feeling of grief or inspiration, depending on your state of being and health! Herbs and foods like ginger, scallion, horseradish can support the lungs. Deep breathing always helps! Remember! Our lungs are the human counterpart and mirrors of the tree kingdom. No wonder we feel loss, when the leaves fall..And they named the season Fall! If we are in sync with this environmental and energetic transition, then perhaps we can feel we flow more easily with nature's cycles! It helps to celebrate the turning of the wheel by marking the transition with a holiday or ceremony. So celebrate this season! and Happy Halloween!
