I think of it as rebooting your internal computer after a download for more efficient functioning.It stimulates the nervous system. It regulates brain waves and stimulates the release of chemicals and hormones. It has been shown to communicate through the meridian system.

The meridians are like electrical circuitry, the energetic blue print of the body. Acupuncture works through proticity - the proton communication of water in the body generated by the energy of the mitochondria. It works with the flow of low direct current throughout the body.

DOES IT HURT? Sometimes you feel a little pinch but most times the needles go in quickly, easily and painlessly. You might feel warmth, tingling, energy, or pressure. Most people are pleasantly surprised. Acupuncture is relaxing and energizing. I say it is like a weeks vacation in an hour. IS IT SAFE? Acupuncture is very safe. WHAT IF I AM TAKING BLOOD THINNERS? WILL I BLEED? Most times bleeding does not happen because acupuncture points are located away from arteries and veins.
